Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.
— Margaret Mead

A not so little love jar to celebrate community leader, elementary school principal, and my personal hero, Dr. Pamela Hart. Jam-packed with over three hundred messages from families, teachers, staff and students, this big little love jar is a reflection of love given and love returned.

If anyone has ever wondered if one person can truly change the world, the answer is yes.  Dr. Hart is proof. She’s been changing ours for the past nine years.

I met Dr. Hart at my first ever “Back to School Night.”  My oldest started kindergarten the same year Dr. Hart began as principal at my children’s elementary school.  She welcomed us parents with the most inspiring and passionate speech I have ever heard. Her energy, authenticity and vision spoke directly to me and I knew then and there someone very special had just come into my life.

I remember walking past her as I was leaving the school that night.  She didn't know me, I hugged her anyway and told her I wanted to be her friend.  I believe everyone in the building felt the same way.

Her name says it all. Dr. Hart radiates warmth, positivity and love. She has the incredible ability to make everyone she meets feel like the most important person in the world.  She cares deeply, listens intently, and smiles often. She is a person everyone wants to be around.

Dr. Hart is down-to-earth and accessible in a way many leaders are not. At the same time, she is a force to be reckoned with: a proactive, no-nonsense, creative visionary with a heart of gold. She exemplifies the best of humanity.

After almost a decade of working tirelessly for our children, school and families, Dr. Hart is taking the opportunity to share her magic with another lucky school and work close to her home and family.

Little Love Jar is honored to have Dr. Hart serve as a member of our advisory board, and we could not be happier to have had the opportunity to shower this remarkable woman with LOVE by giving her a Little Love Jar of her very own.  May the love and joy she shared with us return to her a hundredfold.

MESSages from dr. Hart's little love jar:

  • “Thank you for taking the time to talk to me about me sometimes feeling different.”                    - Belmont Hills Student

  • “You lit up the life of my 3 sons. They will never ever forget you - like when they are 80 and talking about being little and school and memories and YOU will always be the backdrop to all of their school related dreams. More than anything - you made me and Phyllis feel like there was "one of us" in office - someone that we shared core values with and someone we loved and respected. You will be missed and never replaced.”                                                            -Belmont Hills Parent

  • "Pam, I’ve appreciated working with you for the past 9 years. Your warm, welcoming smile and energy makes everyone feel valued and loved.  I’ve greatly appreciated the lightness you bring to even the most frenetic, tense days any your way of putting any situation in perspective.  You’ve always been so understanding and encouraging.                               Thank you for all of these things. I will miss you dearly.”                                                             - BH Teacher
